Ray Samara is a law clerk pending admission to the District of Columbia Bar (awaiting his swearing in ceremony). He obtained a law degree from the Antonin Scalia School of Law at George Mason University in 2018.
At the Antonin Scalia Law School, Mr. Samara served as both a Research Editor and Lead Articles Editor for The Journal of Law, Economics & Policy. Additionally, he sat on the executive board of the Phi Alpha Delta professional law fraternity. While in law school, Mr. Samara worked extensively on administrative law topics at the United States Department of Transportation. There, he assisted the Agency in legal matters ranging from consumer protection and civil rights to the implementation of a new regulatory scheme. Outside of law school, Mr. Samara was elected as the student liaison for the American Bar Association’s Forum on Air and Space. He is also a certified mediator for Federal Agency disputes with experience in bringing parties together to settle legal matters amicably.
Before obtaining his law degree from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University in 2018, Mr. Samara worked in the Banking and Finance industry in the State of California. He worked as a legal specialist and was responsible for managing hundreds of cases nationally while appearing in court, at mediations and at depositions on behalf of the corporation.
He now works on Defense Base Act cases and complex litigation for the firm. He enjoys international travel and has a passion for aviation and transportation issues. He is in the process of obtaining his private pilot’s license.
